We were in town for a conference last week and stopped in twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both times, the service and food were wonderful! A bit pricey for diner food, but the quality of the food and the ambiance made it worth it. My husband enjoyed the reuben and corned beef hash and I had the burrito. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were large, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. We had a big day planned after breakfast, and were in and out quickly despite the restaurant becoming increasingly busy. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to eating here again on our next visit!
As always, I had an amazing experience at Mel’s! The French toast was absolutely delicious—perfectly golden, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. Also, the spicy creole chicken sandwich was flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. Though the orange juice this time was not so perfect, remaining everything is great. Perfect meal and perfect spot with ambience & music!
I love this chain of authentic American diners. The atmosphere is like in a movie. We only had soup and potatoes. Pretty good.
They messed up my order a little (missed one of two breakfast burritos so I was sat watching my partner eat for a while), but the food was good and it seemed to be just a genuine mishap so hey ho. Friendly service and a cool decorative environment. The espresso milkshake was also great.
Spacious and nicely decorated. Average food for a dinner. Subpar service. I got the bill before finishing my dinner, just to wait 15 minutes to be able to order a dessert.
