Ordered the gyro platter and koubideh kebob. Not the best, but the hummus and bread were great. Generous pour of the wine. Outside patio has heaters.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silk Road Restaurant in Walnut Creek, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming and elegant, with a perfect blend of modern décor and traditional elements that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The Shish Kebabs were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a delightful chargrilled taste. The Falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with a tangy tahini sauce that perfectly complemented it. And the Baklava for dessert? Simply divine—sweet, flaky, and utterly satisfying. What truly sets Silk Road apart, though, is the impeccable service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of your dining experience is top-notch. They are knowledgeable about the menu and are more than happy to offer recommendations based on your preferences. The extensive wine list and specialty cocktails also deserve a mention. We enjoyed a beautifully balanced wine that perfectly complemented our meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. Overall, Silk Road Restaurant is a gem in Walnut Creek. Absolutely delicious!!!!! Complimentary bread and dipping, huge portions, reasonable prices. Bread is fresh out of the oven, all food is prepared to order, nothing is pre-made. Masterfully prepared, homemade quality food. Come hungry! Definitely will be back again and again.
I visited this restaurant with my service dog, and they initially refused to let me in. When I told them it’s a service dog and they legally can’t deny me entry, they started mocking me. My husband then spoke up, asking why they were laughing at me. Only then did the man grudgingly say, “Fine, go sit somewhere.” We sat down, but the experience didn’t get better. Our portions were noticeably smaller than everyone else’s around us. When we finished our meal, no one cleared our table. Dirty plates just piled up, and it felt like they were ignoring us on purpose. Avoid this place if you can. If you don’t like dogs, that’s your personal issue, but you can’t treat people like this in the U.S. the way you might in your home country. If this happens again—either to me or anyone else with a service dog—I’ll report you under the ADA law. You’ll be fined at least $4,000 or more. Consider this your warning. This time I chose not to sue, but next time, I won’t be so kind.
Paid Street parking. Patio seating available...however it could use major cleaning. Ok service Food took a while. However, it was well worth the wait. Large portions Amazing flavors Reasonable prices I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.
