Excellent thanksgiving menu!! Everything was incredible! Best biscuits I’ve ever had. Menu was very well throughout out. Very yummy. Only con was the tables were very close to eachother so seating was a little crammed.
Such a solid place. The pasta is a big hit as well as the special seafood gumbo. The kale salad is winning. The grits probably need better sourcing - they hide the bland with the tomato and cheese they add but then it doesn't TASTE like grits. Service is always friendly and upbeat. Space is a bit cramped and on a sunny day the skylight makes it uncomfortable for some.
Was our first meal in San Francisco, the gentlemen was extremely nice that greeted us and offered us anywhere to sit. The portion amount that you get is worth every penny. The chicken in both our meals was so soft and juicy. The gravy grits was something I have never had before in Canada so overall was really happy and enjoyed our meal.
I truly enjoyed my experience. Usually I don’t like to be bothered too much when I’m eating, and it was the perfect amount of service. The red beans and rice was filling and delicious. The catfish was fresh and crispy fried. I also tried a pride rum drink which came in a very fun glass. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.
Good food, iffy location, fantastic service, nice atmosphere This restaurant is well known for beignets but I didn't have room to try them on this visit, next time The restaurant is quaint and casual in San Francisco's Tenderloin where over needs to be aware of the surroundings. My bananas foster French toast was very good although a but too sweet for me taste but that's an individual preference. The service was extremely good and friendly. Planning to go back for catfish!
